Axis, otherwise known as Chital, are active throughout the day on the Ranch where Infinity Outfitters hunt. Located just outside of Menard, Texas the ranch has over 11,000 acres for the deer to graze. The axis activity peaks as dusk approaches and slows down during midday when the animals rest.
The axis, or chital, have the ability to leap fences as high as 4.9 ft to avoid danger. They are enormous in size and usually travel up to 15 members in their herds. Their predators are wolves, crocodiles, red fox, and golden jackals to name a few. The males are less vulnerable than females because they have huge antlers to ward off attacks. These creatures are massive in stature and can be intimidating to the inexperienced hunter. Once on the ranch and on the track of an Axis, you are sure to hear your heart racing. When you get that perfect shot, satisfaction is a sure thing you will take home with the trophy of a lifetime.
